This publication contains details of 38 Nobel Peace Prize laureates strongly affiliated with the development of international peace organisations in the 20th century designed to promote peaceful relations between countries, to arbitrate the swift end of wars and to enhance individual human rights as the basis for a just and durable peace. The entries are divided into three major periods: the pre-World War I peace movement; the interwar period of international relations under the League of Nations; and the post-World War II era of global relations under the United Nations to the present.
