Big Bones

Charlie's a clever twelve-year-old who thinks she's too fat to find a boyfriend. A mild flirtation with the boy in her local video store is as far as she's gone in terms of a romance. She enjoys emailing her German pen pal, Frank, but when he suggests a visit, she panics. She sent him a photo of her thin best friend, rather than of herself, and now he'll find out. There is no way he could be interested in her for herself—or is there?
