A team of six archeologists assemble at the beginning of the Arctic summer to unearth traces of the lost Viking settlements in Greenland, but as they sink into uneasy domesticity there is news of an epidemic back home that makes it impossible for them to leave, and as they prepare to face the Greenland winter, they write letters to loved ones back
