Criminal Justice Act 2003 Elizabeth Ii. Chapter 44

Following on from the Government's White Paper (Justice for All, Cm. 5563; ISBN 0101556322), published in July 2002, this Act contains provisions for reform of the criminal justice system in England and Wales, to ensure that criminal trials run more efficiently and to reduce the scope for abuse of the system, focusing on reforms to court procedure and sentencing.
