Criminal Justice and Immigration Act

The CJIA 2008 introduces a new framework for delivery of youth justice services. "CAE"'s guide facilitates access to what is a large and complex piece of legislation and provides a straightforward account of provisions relevant to day to day youth justice practice. The revised purpose of sentencing is explained and the extensive menu of options to accompany Youth Rehabilitation Orders is laid out clearly. The guide also includes the new provisions for reviews of Anti-social Behaviour Orders.
