There has long been a need to make private provisions for retirement. Yet the prospect of high interest has disappeared and with it lucrative and comfortable investments in retirement funds and life insurance policies. At the same time, due to direct banks, for example, and new products (e.g. certificates) there are now new ways to successfully manage one's own assets, and this book is intended as a guide. Andreas Preißner leads readers through the jungle of products, pointing out the pitfalls for investors and, above all, gives concrete instructions on dealing with Internet offers. Readers are thus able to see through products on the finance markets and critically analyze the offers made by banks and insurance companies. They learn how to systematically increase their assets, without having to fulfill certain prerequisites (such as a large minimum investment).
