Electronic Communications Fundamentals

This series presents the evolution of electronic communication, including the telegraph and the telephone. The concept of Electromagnetic Radiation is detailed, as well as the concept of carrier frequencies. Part 2 explains the antenna-ground system and introduces the operation of the tuner and reproducer. An explanation of what modulation is and why it is used is given along with details differentiating Amplitude Modulation, Frequency Modulation and Phase Modulation. This series concludes with an introduction to bandwidths and sidebands and a discussion on the concept of Frequency Division Multiplexing and Time Division Multiplexing.
