Employee Emotional Abuse : Oppressive Working Environments

"Employee Emotional Abuse," acknowledges those workers who have experienced the social crime of emotional abuse in the workplace. Crimes committed by ruthless, insensitive, brutal, and nefarious persons who are irresponsible and hateful, and yet are in leadership positions. People who are despicable, unscrupulous, and devious in their behaviours often dispel their prejudices in the workplace in the form of abuses towards those whom they supervise. Those persons administer cruelty and social violence causing embarrassment, shame, and humiliation to those who suffer...Employee emotional abuse is the systematic use of any form of indignities to humiliate, manipulate, dominate, coerce, influence, and control another person to conform to specific insensitive prescriptive behavioural patterns. As the manipulation continues, the internal feeling of pain becomes intense and affects the individual psychologically, mentally, socially, and physiologically. The individual who suffers then begins to build an emotional structural mechanism of defense to cope with the constant abuse of the emotions, self-esteem, self-worth, and self-confidence.
