The second edition of this widely used book includes the recent developments in the area of water resources engineering. Accordingly, most of the original data is revised and updated. The Second Edition retains the simple style of presentation of the First Edition with a minimum of mathematics. It also continues the emphasis on Indian environment which includes relevant data, Indian examples and the current status of various water resources plans/projects in India. Among the important new topics are water budget equation, world water balance, droughts and unconfined groundware flow. The book includes several solved examples to illustrate the exposition as well as self-study aids like revision questions, practise problems and objective questions.
