FAO fisheries Report

The purpose of the workshop was to analyse and document recent experiences with microfinance programmes for women in coastal fishing communities in India, in order to identify examples of best practice. It sought to provide guidance to all stakeholders involved in the development of microfinance programmes, as well as to consider broader issues related to government policies and initiatives, research and technology development, and other financial support and interventions.
