The author wrote the text to meet the challenge of interesting the individual who dreads tax. Topics are presented in a simple manner in the beginning and then proceed to more complex levels in later chapters. Chapter problems are intended to work the same way. Within the problem sets, the first few problems are relatively easy to give students a sense of mastery and confidence. In the later problems, questions are more complex.
