Jewels of our Military Past delves into the question of how military service is remembered by both present and ex-servicemen and women from 1939 to the present day.Using oral testimonies from service personnel from the North of Britain, this work aims to highlight the experiences of the people who fought during the Second World War up to the more recent conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq, and to examine how the recollections differ between the different generations.For every book sold, £1 will be donated to a veterans charity.
