Just the Basics, Please

This text covers the mathematical concepts - including basic arithmetic, graphs and charts, algebra, and basic probability - used in algebra-based introductory statistics courses for business, general, psychology, or sociology students. Each chapter begins with a pretest to evaluate whether review is needed and ends with a post-test to check mastery of the material. Sections on solving word problems are integrated into the book, with emphasis placed on modelling the problem.
