Managing Your Competencies; the personal development plan
Leverbaar (er is een nieuwe druk bekend)
What is a competency? A competency is a combination of knowledge, skills and attitude that you need to function adequately in any given professional situation: a nurse must know how to give a crying child a vaccination, and a policeman must be able to stop a drunken brawl. Why competencies? Competency orientated teaching has become an important higher education objective. To meet it, an individual personal development plan (PDP) that you make yourself is indispensable. Your plan is based on what you know about your own skills and what you need to acquire for your future profession. Managing Your Competencies will show you how to go about drawing up your own PDP. For more information on the book and the PDP Toolbox check www.managingyourcompetencies.wolters.nl. How does it work? It works by showing you how to systematically set up an electronic portfolio via the PDP Toolbox. This portfolio automatically updates itself as you do the exercises in the book.
