Old Dalry in Edinburgh

The 48 pages of Old Dalry feature a series of atmospheric pictures illustrating all aspects of life in this part of Edinburgh. There s a wonderful series of views of the North British Rubber Company's works, depicting staff operating complicated machinery and a decorated float ready to take part in a Royal Infirmary Pageant. Elsewhere you'll find Dalry House and Fountain House, Colin Macandrew's works, fascinating interior views of Mather's engineering works in Orwell Terrace, several long-lost local shops and the Caledonian Distillery. Trams and cable cars feature, as do the Dalry Baths before refurbishment - there are also pictures of members of Grove Swimming Club including Olympic medal-winner Charlie Baillie.
