Pharmaceutical Dosage Forms

This publication covers medicines for human and veterinary use and provides three lists of standard terms for pharmaceutical forms; routes of administration; and containers, closures and administration devices. The 5th edition (2005) contains a revised list of standard terms which was drawn up in response to a request by the European Commission. It also includes a description of general principles for their use and a summary of changes made since the previous 2000 publication. The terms are translated in 22 European languages.
