Priority Setting : The Health Care Debate

This is a critical analysis of the issues raised by health care rationing and a guide to policy options. There is huge interest in the subject of resource allocation in health care and the associated process of priority setting, but the issues necessarily cross boundaries of disciplines and interest groups. As a result, analyses tend to be restricted to one perspective, or limited to generalities or polemics, giving little guidance to those who actually have to plan and make health care policy.
