Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes

Based on a true story, Sadako Sasaki faces the battle of her life when she is told that she has the "atom bomb disease," leukemia, so she turns to her native beliefs by making a thousand paper cranes so that the gods will grant her one wish to be well again.
