"Ed the storekeeper saw the albino fawn on this very farm", the three boys tell Grandma.Grandma says, "Your dad and mom will be away two weeks. Maybe the three of you can find it".So begins the search for the white fawn -- two weeks of adventure for Skeet, Copper, and Tucker.Copper grieves for Grandpa, who would have found the fawn for them if he hadn't died. He feels jealous of his younger stepbrother, Tucker, who "doesn't belong". Yet he begins to care for Tucker as they share a campfire and some scary times.
