The Health Survey for England provides data at both national and regional level about the population living in private households in England. The 2001 survey focused on disability; non-fatal accidents; respiratory disease and atopic conditions; and fruit and vegetable consumption. This report takes a detailed look at the methodology used in the survey, including: the survey design and sampling; quality control measures and issues of ethical clearance; survey response; data analysis and reporting.
