Sports plays a large part in modern Australian society and culture. As professionalism has developed, those involved with sport, be they players, managers, administrators or supporters, are increasingly looking to the law to protect their rights and resolve their problems. This textbookexamines all the various principles of law, including tort and criminal liability, taxation, contract, intellectual property and industrial relations, and the role they play in the world of Australian sport.
