Status Power; Japanese Foreign Policy Making Toward Korea; Japanese Foreign Policy Making Toward Korea
Leverbaar
Examining recent developments in Japanese-Korean relations, this work illustrates how 'soft' issues like history consciousness or national identity have an impact on concrete policy decisions. The author develops the concept of status as based on either prestige of a positive reputation, or moral authority. Cases studied demonstrate the mechanisms in which status power is used for other ends.
