At the request of the American President, geologist Dr. Curtis Munson is asked to convince a China-leaning Canadian Government to stop exporting oil to China. But China, while desperate for oil, also must find land for its starving billions. As China and Russia poise their armies, determined to seize western Canada and its Arctic, the Americans move troops to their northern border, ready to move in and control Canada's oil fields. Faced with the prospect of the world's three most powerful armies at each other's throats in Canada's wheat fields, Munson must find a way to satisfy all three and preserve Canada as a nation.
