The Chemistry of Fluidized Bed Combustion Systems

Fluidized bed combustion (FBC) systems burn low grade fuels in an efficient and environmentally friendly manner. By using a heated bed of sand like material, fluidized within a rising column of air, these systems can burn many types and classes of fuel, including low grade coals and waste material.
