The Ethics of War and Peace : An Introduction

'In each of the ten chapters, Frowe presents her analysis leaving key questions unanswered, promting the reader to make up his or her mind without being overly influenced by the partiality of the author. This open-ended approach is very refreshing, and makes this short book an ideal didactical tool. For once students will have no choice but to think with their own heads rather than learn and regurgitate the views expressed in their textbook. Even experts in the field will find reading this book rewarding. Helen Frowe deserves to be praised for making philosophy accessible, relevant and exciting. Next time I teach a course on war theory, this is the textbook i will be using.' Vittorio Bufacchi, University College Cork, Political Theory Journal
