The second edition of Arthur Eyffingers much praised work is now available. This lavishly illustrated book describes in some detail the history and present functioning of the international legal institutions based in The Hague, such as the Permanent Court of Arbitration, the Hague Conference on Private International Law, the International Court of Justice, the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, the OPCW and the International Criminal Court. For the second edition the book was updated wherever signal developments had overhauled the previous text, as with the International Criminal Court and Eurojust or new initiatives were welcomed as with the Hague Institute for Internationalisation of Law.
