The perils of pervasive legal instrumentalism

In 2003, the building of Tilburg University Faculty of Law was renamed to 'Montesquieu Building'. On this occasion, the Faculty took the initiative to start a series of seminars by internationally renowned scholars who are invited to address interdisciplinary topics in legal theory with special attention to the works of Montesquieu. The first seminar in this series was provided by Brian Tamanaha in November 2004. The written version has now been published in this book.
