Touched

A revered modern classic about life in the closing days of World War II. This edition published 25 years after its 1981 Royal Court premiere. Set in 1945 during the days between victory in Europe and victory in Japan, Touched follows the fortunes of a group of women in a working-class suburb of Nottingham. First staged at Nottingham Playhouse in 1977 by Richard Eyre, Touched was so successful it transferred to the Royal Court in 1981 in a new production by William Gaskill.
