Uncitral Model Law on Electronic Signatures with Guide to Enactment 2001

An increasing number of transactions in international trade are carried out by means of electronic commerce. This model law on Electronic Signatures constitutes a useful addition to the Model Law on Electronic Commerce. This publication reproduces the text of the Model Law as well as the Guide to Enactment which is meant to assist States in establishing a modern, harmonized and fair legislative framework to address more effectively the issues of electronic signatures. It will also be helpful to judges, arbitrators, practitioners and academics.
