The Russian Bishop's House is a two-story log structure that was constructed in 1842-43 by the Russian-American Company to serve as the area headquarters of the Russian Orthodox Church. It retained this use until 1969, and was acquired by the National Park Service in 1972. The building was restored to its circa-1853 appearance over a 13-year period, from 1976 to 1988. It is listed as a National Historic Landmark in the National Register of Historic Places.
