The Ransomed Soul

Romances blossom and fade. Some dreams are realized, some are shattered. 
Jimmy Redburn, orphaned in the bayous of Louisiana during the War of 1812, finds himself partners with an outlaw named Avalon, a misfit thrown out of his own house at an early age. Both had been loners til they met, one a bank robber, the other a horse thief. That brief encounter preceded a holdup and kidnapping, which set them on a journey of varied experiences. 
From that point their paths merged and split several times over the next few years. They met an Indian woman who needed help to find her Mexican husband, a soldier fighting in the war against Texas' independence. Both men were perplexed by the differences in language, culture, and religions, yet these two people had a love that transcended such obstacles. 
Avalon encountered Millicent, a beautiful lady with a con-man's heart. They too developed a romance, which was severely tested by his criminal activity and the fact that so many men lusted after her.
