In this new book the author builds upon Becoming World Class and incorporates his experience of introducing fundamental changes in a number of major organisations. The author discusses how organisations can compete when competitors have also introduced the management innovations of recent years and become `lean'. He argues that success comes not from making business processes more efficient but from the contribution of people and he examines how companies can successfully motivate employees.
