Samenvatting
Jazz is an aural tradition - players learn as much from listening to other musicians as they do from reading notation. To emphasise this, ABRSM's new package of jazz piano titles contains a CD for each grade which will be invaluable in learning the pieces, recreating the styles and understanding the materials. CD containing performances of all the pieces for the grade, a sample set of aural tests, with an 'examiner' and 'candidate' showing how these will be administered in the exam, and some additional practice aural tests, and examples of quick studies and scales. You also get the chance to play along with a professional drummer and bass-player in three backing tracks, and each CD starts with three exhilarating trio takes to get you into the groove.
