Agata Toromanoff is kunsthistorica en werkte voor diverse kunstverzamelaars en galerieën. Hiernaast schreef ze voor de gespecialiseerde kunstpers. Later werd ze auteur van boeken over design, architectuur en fotografie. In 2014 richtte zij samen met haar echtgenoot Pierre Fancy Books Packaging op, een gemeenschappelijke droom om geïllustreerde boeken te maken.
